Heatwave Cooler

The heatwave is upon us! So this week we’re sharing with you a drink recipe to help you stay cool in the heat and how to make a popular summer drink for your dinner party!

As Brits we love our tea and there’s no reason we can’t still enjoy this beloved beverage in the summer with a chilled twist.

What you’ll need;

6 tea bags

2 table spoons caster sugar

10 sprigs mint

300ml fresh orange juice

Juice of 1 lime

1⁄2 sliced orange

Extra mint leaves and ice to serve

What you’ll need to do;

  1. Make the tea with 1.2 litres of boiling water and stir in and dissolve the sugar. Add the sprigs of mint and leave to infuse for 10 mins. Strain and cool.
  2. Once cooled, add to a serving jug, stir in the juices and serve with orange slices, mint and plenty of ice.

A really simple but great drinks recipe to not only give you some relief in the hot weather but also allow you to still enjoy some tea!
